History of the Ragdoll
The Ragdoll is a relatively young cat breed that originated in California, USA, in the 1960s. The breed was founded by Ann Baker, who bred with a white Angora cat named Josephine and various other cats.
The name "Ragdoll" refers to the characteristic of these cats to completely relax when picked up and hang limply like a rag doll.
